MY STORY

Bisquick

Remember when the Bisquick Pancake Mix used to come with the free recipe book inside if you bought the value size? Well, that's where it all started... When we were young, my dad taught us how to maneuver around the kitchen, handle utensils, cook our own food, etc. I used to like the tear the recipe book from the inside of the Bisquick box and do a little baking. Every now and again I was usually shy about 2 or 3 ingredients, but I remember always substituting for something that at the time, just made sense. It was always really good...Or at least that's what I was inclined to believe...Image result for bisquick

I found my love for the kitchen at about seven or eight years old, when I refuse to share my tea set with my sister. Mind you, I share everything; but something as simple as tea cups? I was Petty Betty...I used to love to watch my granny make sweet potato pie, lemon cake, and blueberry dumplings, then my sis' and I would lick the bowl afterwards. Along with baking, she cooked, canned, sewed... She was like the Jill of all trades, while my granddaddy was the Jack-of-all! Then, there was my old man. The Jack-of-all trades 2  (and I do mean all). My daddy loves to cook, even til' this day. It has to be right, and you have to eat it hot. Don't even try to compete with him on the Grill. I'm not saying I'm better than him in the kitchen, but I mean hey, I am my father's daughter
